So after driving the car around in the Virginia heat for a bit I would shut it off, run into a store for 15 min then come back out to start it. It would start but then stall out. Only by pressing on the fuel peddle could I keep it going until it would catch and stay idling. After reading up on the subject I came to the conclusion that it could quite possibly be a bad or going bad fuel pump (I can hear it running) that is stressing the soldered pins on the FPCM. That's why when you step on the gas it goes to the medium pump run speed and keeps the car going. (Please correct me if I'm off base.) I just ordered a new pump from Infinitipartsusa.com in Scottsdale, AZ and should be here in a few days. I'll be changing it out when it gets here (along with new back struts). I am going on a trip up North around Christmas. 10 hours there and 10 back and would like to take the Q but I would feel better if I had a FPCM to take with me in case the old one takes a dive on the way there. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I can get one. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Some of the things I have been able to fix because of this site.
Cruise control. Traction control. Alternator. Soon to be replaced rear struts and fuel pump. Thank you for all that.
