fuel pump and alternator issue

today i ran the car for a few minutes after the past week or so...it took a while to start but it finally did start and i wa happy...the maf was pluggd in and when it started up i was super duper hyper anyway after a few minutes of the car running all i was smelling was fuel...so i shut the car are and when i put the key in the on position...i would hear the fue pump priming for ever and ever and never cut out which i know is not suppose to happen..

Alternator: today after i finish running the car and i touche the alternator it felt like i could literally fry an egg on it and the wires for the fuse box seem to have gotten hot too...so i am stumped...i checked all my grounds went back and did evrythin i changed and put it back the normal way and its still the same effect so i am super duper lost...

HELP ME PLEASE
