ok this is my first post so lets see how this goes. First off ive searched all over but can find exactly what i need. So here is my issue..

Ok so about a week ago i drove my 91 240 with sr20det swap the car was running amazing as it always has i wasnt having any issues at all. The sr is all stock with...
apexi intake
fmic
hks boost cont
walbro fuel pump
hks hi flow turbo back exuast with megan down pipe.
So your normal mods.. anyways i drove from ohio to tennessee wich is about a 7 hour drive i stopped 2 times with no issues. Well when i got to tn i came too a stop sign and the car stalled out i didnt really pay much attention too is just figured it was the long drive. After starting the car back up i drove about another 2 or 3 miles to my moms house when i pulled up into the driveway i got it sideways a little lol then the car stalled again. I just went inside and left it i figured it needed too cool down soo about 2 hours later i get in the car it starts right up i drive about 1000 yards down the road as i turned into another road i got on it a little but not wide open as i shifted into second the car backfired then died well it was still running as i was gearing down but when i hit the gas nothing happened (motor was still running) no weird noises or anything no fluids leaking none of that.

Ok so after all that me and my buddy who is a ase mechanic for over 25 years looked the car over we could not get it to start back up. It crancked but wouldnt start we also descovered the fuel pump would not prime when the key was turned ...

Things i did...

new walbro
new fuel pump relay
checked fueses
checked power too all fuel sorces
changed fuel filter

I also had a buddy that knows alot about sr's and is also a mechanic for subaru look at it we tried everything we could with no change...

Things i think it could be are...

fpr
vapor lock
the harness too the fuel pump
another relay?
ecu?

So now im just looking for answers from more people has anyone had this issue before? any ideas on what it could be?

ANY and all help would be very needed as i need to get the car back too ohio thanks alot and if you need more info just ask THANK!!!

When the fuel pressure regulator has no vaccum on it (IE when cranking) it allows full fuel pressure, so a FPR in theory woudl allow more fuel to get through if it failed in an open position.

the issue sounds electrical to me, especially with SR swaps with sketchy wiring... What you need to do is check for power at the fuel pump, then at the relay.. If you get no power at either, you need to figure why the relay isn't being triggered.

To jump the relay you can take a paper clip between the two pins listed on top of the relay between the switch.. In other words, two pins will be connected between a coil, and the other 2 connected by a thing that looks like a switch, jump those two and the fuel pump should have power.

Note relays can still click even though they're not working...
