Fuel Problem???

for about 2 months now my check engine light comes and i'll read the ecu and is shows code 76- Fuel Injection System EC-157. i'll reset the ecu and it won't come on for acouple weeks but have checked it 3 times and still is the fuel injection system. The only thing i notice is that i'm buring more gas and you floor it the engine sounds like it bogs down for half a second. The only thing i can think is the injectors are getting a bad signal and maybe putting to much fuel in. Oh and the fuel gauge doesn't work right had that looked at by a mechanic and said it wasn't the gauge it was the fuel sending unit but he also checked the why my check engine light comes on and says he can't find anythign wrong with the car.

Swap your ECU with someone elses with a same year car, and drive around with it for a while. It could be a bad ECU.
