fuel problem

a friend has a 98 altima when he tries to put gas in it it keeps shutting off the pump so you must fule it very slow. Any ideas?Thanks

Hey Flood CitY! (Originally form Portage) That happened to my buddies Dodge Stratus, but only in the winter...still never found the reason for that gremlin...

but has to be something with the air not flowing through the nozzle on the fill pipe (its about 1/2 inch from the end)...basically when gas covers the hole no air can get through and the pump will shut off...
