heres the deal I have a stock 89 240sx. I bought the car back in cali and recently relocated to Utah. I havn't done any major work since the move. but today 10/10/05 it started to do something really....wierd. Basicly it idles fine, im not having any problems there. but when I push on the gas pedal it gives me like a 2 second hesitation. I've almost stalled out because of it. I havn't yet but I know i will, Im afraid it might just die on me one of these days. so im trying to fix this problem before hand. when im driving its fine. but if i take my foot of the gas pedal when I go to press it again it gives me the same hessitation no matter how long I have ben driving. It doesn't do it if I have the clutch pressed in when i press the gas. but if i dont im in for a bit of a bumpy ride. I think it might be the throttle cable because theres a bit of slack on it, and if i mess with the throttle body it works fine. its only from the gas pedal. oh and everyonce in a while when I came to a stop it would idle somewhat speratic. it would start jumping from 800-1200 constantly. up and down up and down. im not really sure whats going on there I think it might be related. I've tried fiddleing with the wiring, but it all holds strong no matter how much I move it. the fuel injectors are all good, and im getting good spark. Im going on in weds to get a bit of work done, but I wouldn't mind having some idea where to start for this problem, Im not sure how much I trust the mechanics out here yet.
