What are the symptoms of a FPR gone bad? I'm assuming the fuel pressure to the rail is increased, but does it actually make the fuel mixture to the cylinders rich?

yes it will richen it up. test it by disconnecting it at idle. If the rpm increases slightly it is working.

I know this thread is old but wanted to check to see if this was accurate in regards to testing a OEM SR FPR. And, if so, how much is a slight increase in RPM range and will it hold the increased RPM range until you reconnect the vacum source. OR do you have to disconnect something else?

yes it will hold the higher idle untill you plug it back in. Your feul pressure should go from around 36psi to around 43 psi with it disconnected.

I pulled 38psi with vacumn line hooked, 48 unhooked...so Im assuming its pulling too much fuel through the regulator?

no I would call that acceptable. Not sure on the tolorance but You are with in it. the higher number is not important so much as the lower number since it only uses the 48 psi for acceleration. If your connected pressure was up over 40 at idle your might have a loading up problem.

I'm thinking now it could be my stock recirc valve leaking causing me to run extremely rich.
