i had fuel pressure regulator changed under warranty around 6 months ago, because car wouldn't start at first cranck. seems like the problem appeared again, after long period of parking , especialy in hot weather i need at least 2 crancks to start it up (not aways..but it does happen).now..because car is not covered under warranty anymore and problem still exists, should i go back to dealer and demand to replace it again for free because they produce faulty parts , or will i have to pay(which i'd like to avoid),or maybe i should contact nissan head office and give them s***? what u guys suggest?

I'm assuming you have not contacted the dealer? If not, why would you call the Nissan head office? If you haven't contacted the dealer, then don't go calling Nissan corporate. There is a procedure for resolving disputes and or problems. Start at the dealer level. Talk to the service manager. Expain the issue. See if it's a warrantable part since this was an ongoing issue when the vehicle was still under warranty.

If that's not satisfactory, talk to the manager or GM of the dealership. If it's not solved at this level, you may or may not have a warrantable part. If you feel that the dealership is making an error in judgement, the regional representative can help clarify.

Look in your owner's manual. There's information about resolving problems and the steps to take.

I haven't had the issue come up with the Versa but in the past Nissan covered any parts installed in the Altimas we used to have for 12 months or 12k miles. The dealer should be able to pull up the service record on the car and replace it just like any other warranty work.

replacement parts typically have a warranty themselves. I agree with Bubs, your first stop is the dealer. In my experience, I expect they will be quite helpful and that you will not have any issues and you will go on about your merry way. Yes, frustrating but this kind of stuff happens.

I AGREE, TAKE IT TO A DEALER. YOU MAY HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM, BESIDE YOUR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.

I'm watching this with interest, mine had it's fuel pressure thingy replaced about a year ago, and it's starting to be hard to start again.
