Whats up? I am currently putting back together my sr20det in my ae86. I just replace the hg. I took pics of everything before I took everything apart and I realized that my fuel pressure regulator was not connected on the little nipple. I searched around and I read that most people have the little nipple connected to to a vaccum. Am i doing something wrong? My car was running fine like this.

Yes yes PLEASE connect your FPR to the most reliable boost source possible. Usually right off the intake. Fuel pressure should rise in a 1:1 ratio with boost pressure. Without the FPR hooked up to boost you run the risk of running lean. And killing your motor.

Also base fuel pressure is different at idle when it is hooked up. Usually higher. Should be 43.5 at idle without the boost line, and 37.5 with it on.

Here is a PIC

As you can see I have the boost source coming stright from the intake. YES CONNECT A BOOST SOURCE

cool...well I found some older pics and a I realized that I had the left nipple on the intake manifold connected to a cross instead of a "T". One hose went to the left nipple on the intake manifold, another went to the boost gauge, another hose to the wastegate, and another hose to the fpr. Is this a bad way to have this connected?

Not necessarily, but again because it's so important to make sure this line stays connected while boosting most people go directly from the intake. It's not something i would play with. Make a good strong boost soruce connection with some good vac line then zip tie it up.
