First off, its a 90 240sx, sohc
OK, lately my car has started to not pull as hard. ONce the engine gets fairly warm, it will kind of dog out on me when i step on it at all, its just bogging out and kind of jumpy. It seems to idle fine. So, we put a fuel pressure gauge on it, and pressure was at around 30 in idle. When opening up the throttle, the pressure would go down to about 26 or 28. We checked fuel pump, and the filter on it, and it seems to look ok. Today, when i was looking around under the hood, i saw this wiring harness unhooked. It was right behind the plenum, and on the back of the plenum was this outlet where it hooked up. So, i plugged it, figuring maybe it was getting a bad reading and that was causing my problem? The clip on the plug was broken, so it must have rattled off. Im basically wondering if this could be my problem, or if i shoud leave it unplugged. When i plugged it in and started the car, the idle jumped up to about 1700 rpms, instead of the 900 it usually runs at. I drove the car for about a half hour to heat up and it seemed to pull hard and didnt really bog out on me. JUst looking for advice on what else i should check, and what this plug does. I can take a pic of it if im describing it poorly. Thanks !
edit: i forgot to mention. there are two wire harnesses hooked up here. the one i plugged in it green, not purple, and is the one thats closer to the engine.
