Fuel pressure leak down

Did some testing yesterday:24k [18 months] old pump max pressure [return pinched closed]65-70 psi.

When pump turned off 34.5 psi [idle pressure] slowly dropped to 18 psi over 15 minutes, pinched return off no change in decline rate, pinched inlet line off no decline for 15 minutes from 34.5 psi.... SO the pressure is being lost backwards thru the pump.

Checking injectors for leaks obviously none at 245k or 13 years.Q was made Jan 1990 so 13+ years old..........so much for NATURAL [non fuel related] injector failure!Injectors have worked on average 40,000 times per hour for way over 6,000 hours or 240 Million times........about 5 times what a human heart would beat in a lifetime.
