hey everyone. my 91 TT is keeping me in the dark. my electronic fuel psi gauge (aeromotive) is telling me when I start the car that I have 38 psi, what it was set to. then about a minuet into idle the gauge says I loose about 1lb every 3-5 sec until I hit 0. it only shows psi when I first start the car for the day. if I turn it off for an hour or so and go back it will still show 0 at cold start up. I know the psi isint bad bc a/f is still 14.7 and the motor runs smooth, even with added rpm. don't know if theres a possibility the gauge is faulty but ive check all the wiring and the regulator (aeromotive) and cant find any flaws. don't know if anyone has had an issue similar to this one?

I'd guarantee the gauge is bad. If the pressure would drop to 0, the car wouldn't run.

I was starting to lean that way. maybe when the gauge heats up it starts to die? yea the car runs great that why I know there something wrong with the regulator, gauge or wiring.

thanks

Probably the sending unit. Could be getting blocked by debris as well. That was the problem with my oil pressure gauge. Pull, clean, inspect, ect.

I had a similar problem with my oil sender where a piece of debris was blocking the small hole, causing a 0 reading.

**update**

put the manual gauge on the line and it pegged out at 35psi (my gauge max) while the car was idling and had normal change under load. going to purchase new gauge and possibly new set up seeing as how this only lasted 2 seasons and only 3k miles. thanks every1!
