I just put back my intake manifold after cleaning it and I finally took out all the EGR, replaced vaccume hoses, plugged un-used hoses, replaced PCV hoses, coolent hoses, replaced gaskets, blocked the exhaust feedback with plate.

My Fuel Pressure Control Valve is directly connected to the pipe coming out of the end of the lower intake manifold. Is that OK like that. I just started the car a couple of times, it idles at 1,200 rpm.

On side note, my throttle cable seems stuck or something and rev the car to 5,500 fuel cut off. I took the cable and it idles at 1,200. Did I do something wrong when I put the throttle cable into the inner hook? I don't have cruise control anymore so one hook is free.

Thanks

I fixed the throttle cable, it was locked on the 'Cruise control cable' side instead of the inner lock. T_T That's for working in the dark.

I cleaned out the engine by pouring in a bit of Seafoam and running for 5 mins, a bunch of smoke came out. Before that I also replaced spark plugs and O2 sensor.

Now my car idles at 1,500 rpm. Is it because of my new vaccume routing? It was 750rpm before this. I'll upload pics of new routing. Only the hoses described in pic and the PCV hoses to the manifold are connected. The rest are either blocked off or not functioning.

youve got a vaccume leak somewhere or a misrouted line. Did you remove the swirl control rod and blades from inside the intake manifold?

Yes, and I blocked the hole on back with cold-weld.Now I also remember that idle was adjusted after this engine was transplanted into the current frame. That was with a rough timing setting and everything in pieces.Maybe I need to redo it again?

I just noticed that this would be the accurate representation of my setup. The green line is the correction. I had that line connected directly from intake pipe to intake manifold. I think I'll block it.

I filled in the holes in the runners where the rod ran threw the intake . this might be causing you a little problem not sure though. mine actually idles better than stock but i also rebuilt the entire engine and did alot of performance mods. keep us informed with what you come up with .

I ask collins who was working on a Supra engine mod and he pointed out the issues. The valve cover should NOT have a filter but put the air back into the intake because it leaks the air already measured by MAFS which the ECU uses to regulate fuel, causing it to run rich. The high idle was because of the extra hose bypassing the throttle body. More air = higher engine rev. Before this that hose was bypassing the MAFS, causing the engine to run extra lean and having hiccups.
