i was curious if my thinking is on the right track. i am upgrading my ka fuel system with sr (370cc) injectors. i am also changing to the walbro 255 fuel pump. my question was instead of changing the tune in the ecu if i raise the fuel pressure and my stock tune keeps firing the injectors at stock duty cycle then i should be able to compensate for the extra fuel i need to keep the afr where it needs to be, correct? and where do yall think the air/fuel ratio should be on a medium built na/ka? i was thinking timing around 14 deg and afr around 12.5-13:1. does that sound about right?

i plan on getting the bikirom in a few monthss but right now the motor has gone a little over budget(imagine that). i was trying to change what i could now fuel wise but didnt want to run lean and fry these beautiful new pistons. do you think that my suggestion will work for a few months?

not very effectively or safely. the way you're doing it is a guessing game, to do it that method right, you'll end up spending quite a bit. Personally I don't like guess work with my engine builds and although I understand that money's an issue here, take your time through a build and tune and it'll be better off for you later on with less chance of stuff breaking or getting ruined.

what i was thinking was, since i have consult on my laptop, installing the walbro, adjustable fpr, and injectors and at idle adjusting fuel pressure to the right afr. then since the fpr is vacuum controlled it should adjust the pressure from there throughout the powerband right?
