the apexi power fc is a piggy back, not as versatile as the haltech which is a full stand alone, and its hard as hell to tune. : )

Haltech, Motec... these are standalone systems and will require you to find a good base map for the car. From the base map you dyno tune the car by adjusting points and running it on a dyno for power and a A/F read-out.

Well.. honestly if you know a bit about proper fuel tuning then it would but honestly I think the Apexi AFC will suffice.

i dont think the Power FC is considered a 'piggy back'. It does fully replace your stock ecu, therefor i dont think its refered to as a piggy back.....

the PFC is basically a factory ecu that gives u control over the ignition timing and fueling parameters, along with giving you sensor information.

the haltech E6K, gives you control over basically everything, with way more programable outputs than the average user will EVER take advantage of, i.e antilag (turbo-killer), etc. also the E6K isnt a b**** to tune really.......assuming u have access to a wideband its fairly user friendly. just manipulating bar graphs

the other option id look into for standalone EFI would be a F.A.S.T system. not cheap........but VERY user friendly, and VERY capable. from what little experience ive had with the FAST, im considering putting one on my next project if i dont use my haltech
