I have been running lean for a long time with the mods I currently have. Any suggestions out there for a ecu piggyback that is not that pricy?WesIde

Why do you want a piggy back? What are you trying to do?

How do you know that you are running lean? I ask becasue I have similar modes as you and it could be that I too are running lean as well, since I get good gas mileage with my G-35 Coupe. I also have one heck of a lead foot too!

Jacko, you're so funny. The rest of us are complaining about fuel economy while you are putting down more power and getting better fuel economy and you're wondering if you're running lean

I know that I am running lean on one bank due to the discoloration on the exhaust. I can only figure that with the right fuel/air mixture at full throttle vrs highway cruising I could be loosing quite a bit of horspower due to the fuel mixture. Also note I do have spark plug non foulers on my o2 sensors and I think that could be one of my issues. I still think under my circumstances that some kind of fuel management system would improve my performance greatly.

You need to dyno your car to see if you are running lean.

On my Hemi I ran a wide band AF gauge, sometimes I got as high as 15 but thats not too bad. WOT dropped to 12.5 and slowly climbed to about 13.2 before the shift to the next gear.

In my experience piggybacks can add more problems then they solve. I would be real sure you are running lean and that bigger injectors are not a solution before you start manually adjusting fuel trim values on MAP or whatever sensor the piggyback 'adjusts'.

I didn't see cam's or any other internal engine mods on your list of mods? It is real unlikely you are running lean enough to be a problem unless you have some serious mods.

Have you ever had a CEL that was "lean bank one"? Your ECU will let you know if you are running lean. Its been over a year but I think the code was 0171. I only saw that code a few times when I ran open headers at the track with none of the o2 sensors connected.

I saw 0440 about twice a week and 0420 about once a month.... I did the anti fouler trick too. to the person that figured that mod out!

Thanks for the input woods. I will greatly consider getting it on the dyno. I am happy with the mpg. About 20 a gallon but I need more power. Maybe F. I. is the only next option. Any other considerations on this would be great. Thanks a bunch.

Most are not cheap. Greddy eManage and UTech are 2...but those are for FI apps usually.

I was also wondering how much a new ECU would run me.
