fuel loss problem, please help!!!

hey guys i've searched for about an hour now and i haven't found anything that helped me in any way so before i give up i would like to see if you guys have any ideas. here goes

92 240sx AUTO (im not proud of it)stockNew Dist Cap, Wires, PlugsNew fuel filternew valve cover gasketnew drive belts

that's all i've replaced in the car since i got it. so the problem is that months ago i was warming up my car and fuel was pouring out near the rear right tire. i forgot if the tank was full or not. and at the time i couldn't check it out because i didn't have much time left to jack the car up and try to find out the problem. after doing what i gotta do i went to my car and started it up and i bent down to see where the fuel is coming from but the leak is gone.so now months later i started noticing my gas mileage going down and its like average 200 per tank with my heavy foot. everytime i start the car up in the morning i would smell fuel but can't find the leak or smell so i guess it has something to do with the cold weather? please help, i'm pretty sure i'm loosing gas and not consuming gas

i figured that my VLSD has different gear ratios therefore lowering my mileage alittle bit and i have 17" wheels which changes the speedo alil but i dont think it'll give me an average of 15 per gallon.

I would recommend that you check the EVAP. If it is unplugged or improperly capped, this can cause the fuel vapor smell you experienced. Also, get under your car and check all fuel lines for any damage or leaks. And be sure to actually get under the car to look. You wont always be able to see the problem from the side looking under.
