This is kinda related to my other thred that no one really responded to =/

My fuel filter is connected to the return line, comming out of the fuel rail. Seems like the filter should be on the FPR line. What damage would be caused if the fuel was flowing the wrong way?

The fuel filter should be located before the fuel rail on the input side. After the fuel pressure regulator you should just have hose that returns unused fuel to the fuel tank. In other words the fuel comes in the rail, goes through the injectors, then any excess fuel(it is bled off to keep the pressure down) goes out through the fpr and back to the tank.

If for some odd reason someone had hooked it up wrong(yours is on right) all of the trash in the fuel would be running into your engine and through your injectors. Not a good situation.

So fuel filter line does NOT go into the FPR side right? Goes on the other end of the fuel rail...

You dugup an old one here!

1.) good job in searching for the answer to something already discussed (not sarcasm)

2.) yes, the fuel filter should be on the line that goes to the 'back' of the fuel rail (near the firewall).
