Fuel line leak help!

Hi, I have a 93 240 and it was sitting in my driveway for a few months without starting. It was running well before. I started it but then it died after 10 seconds and ran rough. I could hear a squirting sound before starting and smelt fuel. I saw a puddle under the passenger side in front of the rear tire area. I looked under and in that area there is this metal contraption the size of a fist with some bolts sticking out and 2 lines coming out. It looked wet. I assume this is leaking. What is this part called and is it easy to fix? Thanks for your help.

Are you sure it isn't your fuel filter?

no fuel filter is in the engine bay. this is part of the fuel line. I just don't know what this metal unit is that the lines run through.
