Hey all, Ive been trying to figure out my fuel level sensor check engine light problem. And im stumped!!

I replaced the fuel level sensor in the tank on the drivers side, and replaced the fuel pump assembly including the fuel level sensor module on the passenger side. The gas gauge never goes below 1/2 after driving 200 miles. Does the gauge need to go below half to clear the code?
My dilemma is that my car has died with no fuel before at around 240 miles on the tank... The irony is that I think I used to get closer to 350 miles per tank...

I also did a cluster check by holding the trip in when the car is off, then turning on the accessories, letting go of the trip, and triple clicking it. Then i depressed the trip to see the fuel gauge have no problem going from empty to 1/2 as expected

If anyone knowws of what to try next, you'd help me out tremendously! I'm trying to get my inspection sticker before the end of this month

See section DI in the FSM

Have you verified the ground connections thru the wiring harness to the combination meter and the harness connections to the fuel level sensors?

Just guessing and throwing parts is not going to solve your problem.

This is ALMOST exactly what I need.... any links for the FSM for a 2013 G37 ?

And in that post it says the cluster check is supposed to raise the gauges 25%... mine raises 50% for both temp gauge and fuel, is this different because its for a 2005?

Thanks Telecoman!! Great experience using this site for the first time :)

Does anyone know how to reset the fuel gauge?

Both fuel level sensors move the gauge by 1/2

BUT THE RANGE is 1.25 to 0.25 on the fuel gauge from full to empty (offset by 0.25 tank)
