I'm getting erratic fuel level readings on fuel gauge. It seems logical this is a fuel level sensor.
1. Is this a known problem? Are there any recalls anyone is aware of?
2. I assume it's mounted on the fuel pump assembly. If not where is it mounted?
3. Where is the fuel pump assembly located?

Last, could this be another issue? No CEL yet.

The fuel level sending unit is integrated into the fuel pump assembly.
You can easily access he assembly by removing the bottom of the rear seat, opening the small hatch on the driver's side floor and then twist off the large black ring holding the entire assembly in place.
