Long story short, the alternator in my car went bad due to a coolant leak coming from somewhere under my intake manifold. After replacing the alternator and fixing the coolant leak, we started putting the intake manifold back on. Finally, after it looked like we had plugged everything back in we tried to turn on the car and when it started it sounded like it was going to run fine.

However, the idle would drop and bog real bad until it would die. After looking in the engine bay, there was fuel coming out of the top of the fuel filter. Before we started the work on the coolant leak the car's fuel system was flawless which is why I do not think its the fuel filter.

Has anyone had this problem before or know what possibly could be wrong?

did you have your fuel lines undone at all for this, and if so are you sure you put them back on in the right order?

Make sure your FPR vacuum hose is hooked up maybe that god damanged in the process.

Better yet Tomek, I think its time to get rid of that FPR you got now and buy your self a nice adjustable one with a good pressure gauge on it.

In the back of the fuel rail facing the fire wall. Looks kinda like a hat with a vacuum fitting on it.

Im in the process of removing my intake manifold, and I noticed this too. It looks like the vaccum hose in linked to the EGR/Emissions stuff that is commonly removed (attached to that golden plate)

Where should that FPR vaccum hose lead to?
