fuel is pumping, starter is working, battery is working. but car wont start?

Ok my car was just running a couple days ago and suddenly it stopped running. A mechanic told me that it could be my fuel filter so i went to the store and bought a new fuel filter. The old fuel filter was really dirty and i tryed blowing through it and no air was coming out. So i replaced my fuel filter and starter the same day. So i try starting the car and all i get is the sound of the starter cranking but car wont start?

I took out the top hose of the fuel filter and fuel is going through the filter no problem.

Why is my car not starting then?

well first check your spark plugs to see if there fugly and what not.

also check your timming.

timing? im pretty sure the timing is right. my car was running good before already. I DONT KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME!!!!

its happening to you because you have 16 year old car. shtt happends.

alot of peolpe had said that and found out that it was the timming. it dosent hurt to check.

Im so sorry im such a noob at this. How do i know if any of these things are working properly? well actually u dont have to answer the question. I am sick of this car. It just keeps giving me problems.

Check for spark at the coil output. If that's OK, check each cylinder for spark by pulling each plug wire, one at a time, and plugging in a spare plug into the wire, then lay the plug on top of the valve cover and look for a spark.
