So ive got a 90 240 that i swapped a 93 ka24de into. I drove it for about 40,000 miles completely trouble free. Just the other day it started losing power terribly and it was only running on the #1, 3, and 4 cylinders. I checked spark and it has tons. I checked all the injectors and they all read correct resistance. I have 47 lbs of fuel pressure when i turn the key to on, and 45 when cranking. i checked continuity between the ecu pins and all 4 injector ground wires. I hooked the 12 volt injector wires directly up to 12v battery source with a new wire. It has a brand new coolant temperature sensor. i have tried 2 dizzys and 2 ecu's. The 2nd ecu i tried was supposed to be a good working computer, i plugged it in and it idled and ran fine for about 30 seconds, i took it out on the road and as soon as it hit 4,000 rpm it quit running and i havent been able to get it started since. So now i have 2 computers that do the same thing... Code 55 on both... im running out of ideas and options. Any ideas?????

ok so i made a little headway. I found a bad ground from the ecu so i reattached it and now itll start if you floor it. It runs really rough so i checked and it is only running injector #2 with both ecus, i changed the distributor to one that i know works and then it started running on injectors 2 and 3... what would cause 2 of the injectors to not fire? al the injectors are fine cause if you switch the injector wires to the other injectors, then those injectors fire.

You need to use the FSM and troubleshoot the wiring harness and make sure you don't have any shorts. I'm pretty sure the FSM documents this fairly well.
