I am trying to buy a 1993 300zx tt that needs a new fuel injector, and was wondering if the upper plenum needs to be removed to replace the injectors?

Hey, I'm also having problems with my injectors on a 1990 Nissan 300zx, I don't think that is the only option you have if you were to buy the car and work on replacing the injectors, there is another method called the dremel method? where you alter the specs of the plenum in order to to get to the injectors, they say it's easier but not necessarily the best method, if you do pull the plenum, many suggest to replace all injectors and do other maintenance to the car while it is off. Hopefully this helps :)

I would suggest pulling the upper plenum so you can delete the coolant lines to the throttle body. Those hoses may be old and could cause a lot of issues if one of them broke.

But you can do the dremel method, just be very careful and not put a hole in the plenum.

HOw much you looking to buy the Z for? Any pics?

He wants 3k for the car. It looks clean but he said it needs a new injector because its dead and new turbos because they stopped boosting. I think that price is just a touch high considering I use to have a 91 300zx tt that was automatic I bought for 3.2k and it was running just fine. I am probably not going to go with it because there are a couple good running low mileage ones for 6-7.5k that I am thinking about picking one of those up. Thank you for the answers on the injector replacement.
