My 280Z albeit alot of interest never got sold, so i took it in to my work and had an older tech properly diagnose my massive 3 cylinder (P0300 random/multiple misfire) lol, he said def not my headgasket, i thought it blew loss compression and thus led to my misfire....wrong!! we compression tested my engine 150-160 PSI cross the board, rewired my distributor for the perfect firing order, still missing, turns out i need fuel...duh, so i am looking to replace not just the bad injectors, but rather all of them to avoid this problem in the future...however, none of the local parts stores have them cheap, 77.89x6=suck haha, i have been told that DSM injectors work fine and there are DSM's aplenty where i live, my friend has both a 1990 talon tsi and a 1992 talon tsi that he has 8 factory injectors for at $20 for the lot, what is the factory flow rate of an NA L28E and will these stock DSM injectors work on my Z???

DSM injectors will work fine...if you have an O ring fuel rail, and a stand alone engine managment system as I do, if not you had better stick to stock replacemnts, the 280zx n/a has the same flwo rate, where as the 455 dsm's are more than twice the stock fuel rate

looks liek the n/a dsm flows 240cc (the n/a Z is 188cc) so no they won't work unless there are smaller dsm's I'm unaware of, if you can find the correct flow rate the issue is the pintel cap, either you'll have to swap in an O ring fuel rail, or cut the pintle cap and force a hose over the pintle and clamp it

fwiw rock auto has reman stock injectors starting at $40 each

and are you sure the injectors are to blame? corrosion in the wire harness, corroded or cracked injector clips, fuel injector relay, and evne the ecu could cause lack of fuel

I dont, i just have the misfire problem narrowed down to fuel, i have spark and it is in time, it idles ok,if i am at speed and engine brake its very smooth, it just trying to accelerate, it misfires fierce and it seems like i may be lucky enough to be running on3 cylinders

step 1 would be to ohm the injectors, and then have a real good look at the injector clips, then to verify they are firing with logic probe or noid light
