does anyone have any suggestions for a tech site that goes over in detail replacing fuel injectors and the related hoses/gaskets etc? also any tips or comments on the labor? Milo check your email!

First are you sure you have injector issues? Here's how to test:

2 ways to change injectors:

1. Grind out the portions of the plenum that that interfere with removing the injector cap screws. A recommended solution if you only have 1 or 2 to change

thanks a lot.. i am changing all 6 so i will be removing the plenum completely.. also, I noticed that changing the valve cover gasket is easily done with plenum off. I plan on doing that as well. I also need to replace front seal.. does that require plenum removal as well? Also, how can i tell if i have old or new style injectors (square or oval)

If you are pulling the plenum, you should consider doing the coolant hose bypass. That eliminates about 6 or 8 hoses and double the connections where one day it likely will leak and leave you stranded.

The front seal requires taking the timing belt cover off. If you are anywhere close to needing to do the 60k belt replacement, now is the time as you will have most of it apart anyway and it's a fair amount of work.

P.S.- while you have the plenum off, grind all those areas so you can easily change any injector when they go in the future. Your info doesn't say if you have a twin turbo, but if you do, you may want to consider buying 555 injectors in case you one day want to install a performance chip and boost controller.

my car is an NA with a recently replaced timing belt and water pump.. not sure why the guy who helped me did not do the front seals at that time also (one is leaking a small amt of oil) so basically the plenum removal to do the injectors is not necessary to do the front seals? if that is the case I will probably end up taking care of the seals another time or seeing if the guy who did my tb/wp will fix the seals for free. thanks for the helpful links though
