I wonder if one could use 2 of these on the VH engine? One for each bank.

Fuel Rail Kit

yeah you could use those, the SR20 uses the same injectors stock as the Q (370s) but youd have to have Robert rework the ECU because the injectors would be a LOT more fuel!!!

Any idea if the stock fuel rails are a limiting factor? The injectors are in series which would make you think that the last one would get slightly less fuel pressure and cause a lean issue in the cylinder.

At least that is how it is on the Subaru motor.

is the spacing the same on vh as on sr though? because the border kits use a unique arrangement so the spacing would have to be the same. even a few mm's off and it would leak.

That doesnt seem ot be a problem with the VH, at least I dont think.. With 8 cylinders, each injector isnt being used as often... On a high power subie motor, the injector may not even have time to fully close... in theory, each injector only has to be used half as much to make the same power... I think thats why the fuel pressure regulator is in the back, so it regulates pressure from the back...

^ I agree. Since all the injectors arent use at once, the pressure is sufficient when a given injector opens.

I know the stock KA and SR rails are good for plenty of hp (500hp??). I imagine the VH rail also has plenty of room to grow.

That Border rail seems quite expensive. Deatschwerks.com sells 810cc injectors for $379 per set of 4. And you can fab a custom rail for much less than $300.

So if you were going to run a single GT35/40 with the aim of having around 550 hp, all you would need to do is run a bigger (810?) injector?

Not even that high man, the standard injectors will nearly flow enough for that. 550CC injectors should be more than enough for that amount of power.

problem on the VH is the compression... So in order to run more boost/HP on stock pistons you dont need more fuel, but race fuel...

or methanol.

but you know its way way way cheaper just to get some extruded fuel rail and switch to top mount injectors. Check the price on ford mustang fuel rails and injectors on ebay. cheap cheap cheap! delphi injectors are hella cheap too.
