Apparently, I have some leaky fuel injectors.

I drove to school on friday, parked, went in, came out at 3:20, tried turning my car on.. it was cranking but having a hard time turning over.. when it did, it wanted to drive, so i gave it some gas, shifted to 1st and drove off.. noticed the air outside smelled of gas.. parked at my g/fs house, later that night.. my left headlight was on even though they were down (ive done the sleepy eye mod by cutting the wire) so i went, turned them on then off, solved that problem, tried to turn the car on to see if the battery was drained.. same problem.. had a hard time turning over. It did eventually. I got out of the car and everything smelled like gas.. the engine.. exhaust.. air.. everything. SO i got it towed to a shop and they diagnosed it as leaky injectors.. they says each is $200.. since i need 4 thats $800.. i looked at advance auto parts and autozone.. no where near that.. anyway.. can anyone give me a good write upp.. detailed please.. on how to unistall the ones in there and then install the new ones.. i need every detail..

Umm, is it leaking on the inside or the outside of the injector?

If it is the outside then all you need to do is replace the o-rings. I think it cost me 20$ to do all four of mine. There are tons of posts about it on here so if it's the case, just search.

Do you know for sure or are you going off what the mechanic told you. Seams odd that all your injectors and o-rings would be leaking.

I just did this on my newly rebuilt 89 ka24e also. New injectors from NAPA where $56.00 each and the o-rings $6 ish. Now the fun parts..

1.Remove the Fuel Pump fuse from the Fuse Box.Crank the engine until it Dies.Reinstall the fuse.2. Remove the rubber vacuum lines from the UFO(B.B.T.) valve. Two on the top one on the bottom.Pull and twist at the same time if they've been on there a while to make slide off.3.I think its 2 12mm or 14mm bolts holding the fuel rail on.Remove those, and its free.4. Remove the old injectors, place the new rubber orings on all the injectors. Then the top and bottom seals on the injector.Put them in the fuel rail first and then place the rail back onto the intake and PUSH. Now that they are secure they should stand on there own and you can let them go.5.Reinstall the 2 bolts, the BBT and vac lines and start her up.

Hope this helped. Took me,who did his first engine rebuild on the motor with no prior experience 15 minutes.
