Fuel Injectors Leaking

Question for all: Does anyone have problems with there fuel injectors leaking? My friend had a 89 with that problem and I have a 90 as well as my dad, and we have that problem too...I'm wondering if this is something common that occurs in the older 240's before they switched to the twin cam engine in 91...~240 4 Life~

yes I've heard this is very common.... My injectors do not leak but they do look like they were replaced because of (i'm going out of memory) blue tape? If i remember correctly around the threads...

my number 3 injector used to leak but i replaced all the O-rings when i put my car back together and i havent had a problem since

Yeah, I replaced my O-Rings too but the number 4 injector still leaks a lil bit...Maybe the injector itself has a problem...

yea i've hard some can be leaking between teh plastic parts. u can send them to get tested at certain places but maybe u should jsut look for a replacement. im sure you could find one cheap from someone on the boards. i would sell u one of mine but im not upgradeing for another couple months probably

yea...i'm eventually gonna upgrade my fuel injectors to maybe some python venom or nismo injectors...But If i can solve the problem for now until I get the money to upgrade, I would...

fuel all over the intake manidolf and half of the engine bay

If you open your hood and you smell gas...It usually means you have a leak...The funny think is that it only leaks when the car sits...After you start it, the fuel dries up and it doesn't leak...I'm sure havin any type of fuel leak is dangerous...

ok, im just still trying to figure out my studdering acceleration. I think it may be only when the car isnt warmed up though. Wonder if a bad transmission mount would cause it(awkward driveshaft position...?).

i dont know if i had a fuel injector leak but i remember i had to get the number 4 injector replaced because it was clogged up...so i guess this is a common problem for 240's...o yeah..i have the ka24de motor

Does anyone know of a place were I could go to get my injectors tested? I'm sure they have a machine that they can put it on to make sure fuel flows through evenly...Thanx JBJ, that could possibly be my problem...Maybe it is clogged...If thats the case, then my fuel injector cleaner I pour in on every oil change is not doing its job...
