fuel injectors, help

how hard is it to replace fuel injectors? i need to replace my old leaking ones with new ones, any tips?

easy. release pressure in fuel rail, undo the 3 or 4 bolts holding the fuel rail, pull out fuel rail, undo the 2 screws holding each injector and install new o-rings and injectors.

i think the screws were only on the dohc injectors. when i did mine, i took out the rail, poped them out, new ones in, and stuck them and the rail back.

make sure you put a little oil on the seals before you put them in and put them straight in, dont let them go in at an angle or it may tear the seal.

make sure to unscrew the gas cap too, i didnt do that when i did mine, lost a lot of gas, ill leave it at that.

also, label the injector leads with little masking tape labels so you dont get them mixed up

gas cap, you mean the one on the side of yur car where u fill up?

yup, one were you fill up, that woosh you hear every time is pressure thatwill make the fuel keep flowing.

to remove fuel pressure, pull pump fuse, and start car, it will die, then keep cranking for a sec, then its depressurised
