I would appreciate any help I can get in locating a good fuel injector mechanic for a 1994 Q45 Infiniti in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I am a retired senior citizen and am having a hard time finding a satisfactory mechanic. My Q45 is a real "creme puff" with only 66,000 miles and likely needs 2 new injectors.

I would shy away from posting your phone number online, or even your email address. You could get a whole slew of car warranty scam phone calls and notifications by email that your long lost Ethopian cousin has left you 3million kling klings!

The "Email me all replies to this topic" checkbox in the options menu is a good way to make sure you get replies here in the forum. I'm sure someone will come along with suggestions for a good tech. soon.

Good luck!

First, you need to read throught the posts about VH45DE fuel injectors, particularly with regard to ethanol (which DFW has in its fuel) and the replacement injectors thread by Heath whose trialis ongoing.

If you have to pull the plenum to get to the injectors, it is a good time to replace those old hoses and clean the pelnum and lower runners so your cream puff will run as smooth as butter and not expire in a puff of steam from a broken hose.

Doubt you'll need new plenum hoses with that kind of mileage but possible if antifreeze hasn't been changed.

How did you diagnose need for injectors? Unless it is numbers 1, 2 or 8; I would stick with Infiniti dealer but be prepared for a $1000+ bill.

I need to replace #4 injector on my 1995. Just waiting for weather to warm up. Car runs ok but has rough idle. Unlike 1990 which will barely run with one bad injector.

Mileage means almost nothing as the age of hoses is what counts. After 7 years in the South the plenum hoses start failing. I've replaced every hose on mine twice and fully expect another round again soon.

We seen many under 60k but older than 7 years need brand new hoses all around!

Recently replaced all the radiator hoses on my 1995. The new ones I got from IOS that I put on really didn't seem any better than the old ones .

Either you bought used, or new ones were recently intalled?

Did you look on the inside?
