I have a pretty basic setup, so I still run the stock 370cc injectors on my redtop. Lately I've been getting really bad gas mileage, like 20 mpg or less. I always get around 25. I'm thinking I might have a bad injector, or they might be leaking.

When I pulled them out of the rail and turned the key to 'on', so the pump was priming, there's wasn't any leaks or drips whatsoever. This is how it should be correct? Then if I try cranking the car, should the injectors spray a nice continuous mist, or should they drip?

Is there any other way to diagnose an injector to see if they're working properly? Any other way to test it would be awesome, I need to get my good gas mileage again!

I had this issue, turned the key, nothing leaked, yet I was leaking from my injectors some how. It ended up being my ECU, but what you could try is getting a noid light and putting it into the injector HS and check to make sure your injectors are opening up consistently.

you may want to take them to an injector shop and have them flow tested. Since they're side feed you will hear a lot of bitching and moaning from the shop.

Unfortunatly unless you got a spare car (or a bus pass;) you need another set while they're out.

Yeah, I actually have a spare set I just bought, cause I was planning on changing them out. But I might not even bother pulling them and swapping them if there's a different way I can test them out. It should be a fine mist when I'm cranking the engine right, and no dripping at all when the fuel pump is priming?

I might change them out anyways, to see if it fixes my slight hesitations and crappy gas mileage.
