Factory service manual states that the resistance in ohms for each injector should be about 11, my 4th injector reads 38. What kind of problems would this cause? Car still isn't running correctly, backfires a bit, exhaust reeks of fuel, no power around spots on the rev range. I finally think i found the problem! I just hope Advanced takes it back w/o any problems.

The first thermostat i purchased from them was bad, now this. I'm beginning to think shopping at advanced is a bad idea...

38 ohms is way too high; the injector will not operate properly. Is the #4 injector a rebuilt replacement; if so, I would suggest exchanging it for a new one, rather then another rebuilt. In any case, it has a warranty, so just return it.

I just got finished fixing this exact problem couple weeks ago. I have a '93 240 that is stock with 148K miles on it. The engine started getting a shake that would get bad just above idle, around 800rpm. Anyway I thought it was vaccum leak myself then took the resistance, the #1 cyl was 29ohms and all the other were either 15.8 or 15.5 Ohms. I bought a OEM replacement injector from Autozone for 95 i think it was a JEC brand it said Made in Japan and it looks like the others. Anyway its nice to have it running smooth again.

glad to hear that got rid of the problem! My injector should be on its way in sometime tonight, if not tomorrow morning. I definitely opted for the non rebuilt ones this time around. Hopefully i'll have 11 ohms across the board!
