I just replaced my injectors with 370cc's from an SR. I had them cleaned at RC and they came back with a good report. I'm controlling them with a SAFC II set at -27% across the board. Problem is the engine idle is extremly rough, almost like its running on 3 cylinders. I also had an extremly hard time getting it started at first, took about 10 minutes of cranking (not all at once) and I had to press on the throttle. Any ideas? I really need to get this running right quick.

Have you checked your spark plugs? Do you have any way of logging your A/F?

I pulled all the spark plugs, and #1 was soaked in fuel. I pulled that injector, and the O-rings looked good. Re-installed it, and same problem. Next, I pulled the #1 & #2 injectors and swapped them. Idle is a lot better, and no fuel on either spark plug and running. All plugs are extremely sooted, I'm presuming from the 370's. I had it set at -27%, but I think I'm going to go to -28 or even -29% to lean it out some. I have an Innovative Wideband, but the bung hasn't been welded in yet to my downpipe, which also is not installed. This is my daily driver, so I'm installing the turbo a little bit at a timel. Plan was to pull the oil pan today and get the return bung welded on, but this has taken up so much of my time today... bleh. I swear, Helicopters are easier to work on than cars sometimes... lol

Throw in another set of plugs and give it a try.

Make sure the lower injector holder is sealing good. Those are the rubber donuts that seal the fuel rail to the intake manifold. Listen for hissing around the fuel rail. Leaky O-rings can do the same thing as well.

I would have installed the wideband first. I'm not even buying a SAFC until I get my wideband.

I did the same thing my car ran fine with -27 but it was extremely rich even under boost so i droped it down to -35 but it was still rich untill i had it dyno tuned. just make sure you get it tuned right man.

I'm pretty sure the problem was the lower O-ring not sealing. After swapping the 2 injectors, I am not having any issues, and the car idles fine again. I did tighten the caps down all the way, but I'll go back tomorrow and fix that. They have that rubber piece in the center, so I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make if any. As far as installing the wideband first, I don't really have a choice. I have to drive this car to work and my weekend military duty, so it has to be running all the time. A couple more weekends worth of work, and I'll be able to throw the rest of the turbo kit on, tune it, and join the KA-T ranks...
