Took off my fuel rail last night and after removing the caps on top of the injectors, it seems as if the injectors are really not wanting to come out of the rail. How did you get them out with out damaging them.

I used a really sturdy knife to get in between the injector lip and fuel rail, then came in with a screwdriver to leverege them out the rest of the way. Very carefully of course. What ever method you use, dont try and press them out from the injector tip, you'll damage them.

thank you for the detaled description. I will try this tonight. I was gonna go with pushing on the tip, but I didn't think that would be too good.

I used some WD40 to loosen up the seals....then took a thin screwdriver and slowly pryed them out.

soak the injectors in wd40-turn the injectors arround in the ports-that will help to loosen the seal-do not use a screwdriver or a knife-tha could damage the sealing surfaces and ruin your fuel rail-just be patient with them and they will come out-also be sure to check that both seals come completely out and the ports are clean of old seal

i found myself in the same situation last time i switched injectors, it seemed way easier to bolt the rail back down and pull the inj with visegrips. i just put a rag over the teeth and gently pulled them out. put a little wd40 on the seals before reinstalling and it wont be any problem next time.

Hey, I have another question since we are on the topic of injectors. What injectors are you all using? Brand and flow rate. Im lookin at some of the deatschwerks injectors and I just wanted some feedback from people that have used them.
