I just picked up a 1986 300zx n/a that was supposedly rebuilt and bored 20 keeping the n/a compression. He added a stock turbo and said turbo injectors but kept the stock ecu. I'm no stranger to performance cars and don't see how this can work well. I also got a 88-89 turbo ecu and another set of high impedance injectors that I believe are from a 88-89 n/a. They are stamped 2341 64 10. The injectors in it are stamped 9150 6x31d and I can't find any information on them. They are 2.5ohms top feed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I emailed a injector place and he thought they were 270cc. I guess I'll send them in and have them cleaned and flow tested. Now i plan on soldering in 10 ohm resisters but does anything else need changed to run the newer ecu?

Make sure your resistors are at least 10W per injector, I had some 5W burn out on me...

- All 84-87 injectors are low-impedence
- All 88-89 injectors are high-impedence
- All non-turbo injectors are 165cc-ish
- All turbo injectors are 260cc-ish

And adding an intercooler to the NA block will counteract the increased compression's tendency towards knock, just set your base timing to the turbo's preferred 15deg

Will do. And yea it's getting a aluminum radiator and intercooler. So all other sensors will be ok with the turbo ecu? Also it doesn't look like it has that dealer campaign harness but the only link i found on it doesn't show it very clear.

The recall wiring is actually a stupid idea, the rest of the recall focused on replacing fuel hoses + injectors + rail as a single assembly, there was no need for the wire change other than distinguishing the car from one without the recall...

Yea I'd want them wired normal.
