I have a 1993 HB with KA24E. My question is this, I have a full rail of injectors from a 1998 KA24DE, will the injectors fit the single cam and if so will it even be a worthwild upgrade?

Thanks.

"upgrade"? if they wrok then they aren't an upgrade, either they are the same flow rate and they work or they are too big or too small, I would assume the twin cam is either they same or larger without looking ti up, most likley the same, and if you run larger injectors you'll need a remapped ecu, ecu hack piggy back stand alone etc or you'll make the engine run worse!

generally speaking most bolt on power mods make power by adding air and tricking the ecu into not noticing, stock ecu's are very conservetively tuned erring ont he side fo rich, as rich is safer than lean, also stock injectros are gerally oversized to allow for low duty cycles to help ensure a logn life for the injectors but unless you are adding forced induction you won't be needing any mroe fuel

i got the stock from my truck the stock from a de and i got 550s the stock from the de are a lil bit bigger then the truck stocks it wont be worth changing them for the reasons evildky already stated if you put them on it will just waste more gas and make your plugs foul

boostcreepr i got your pm but i couldnt pm you back because you haven't enabled that. as far as my 'custom' intake goes it was kinda a shot in the dark and its surprisingly working well. if you need pipe and adapter piece demotions i can help with that. if your looking to get some more power though you should get a intake manifold off a 89 240sx single cam. it will bolt up to your engine. or do a duel cam swap and get a 240 intake with it. any of the truck intake manifolds are 'dummy' downs. if you are running N/A you want to make sure you can get as much air flow through the engine as you can. so a duel cam swap would probably be a good idea along with the 240 intake. maybe some cams too...... but just remember once you start upgrading your engine you will have to upgrade your ecu with it. and if you do a duel cam swap you have to get the wiring harness for a duel cam with ecu.

So if I swap in the single cam from 240 do I need any other parts? I'm thinking about boosting the kae just for fun. I'm not done reading up on it. Not really looking for anything radical though. Don't need an sr or rb or tt vg. More like a simple sleeping work truck. Ill drop it of course but I'm not familar with the hb setups. I had 2 93 240s in the past but nothing turbod or even modded past intake and exhaust so I have a lot to read up on.

no you dont need any other parts they are interchangeable. if your not looking to make some good / decent numbers i dont suggest going boost cause im still in the process of fixing all the bugs on mine and ive spent over 4k so far on everything but i went with all name brand and top of the line so i only have to do it once
and yea the 240 intake manifold will work on the stock block i have one i just havent bothered putting it on yet seeing im going to have to change my piping and what not and the tps is different and the 240 intake doesnt come with a maf so you would need to either buy one or get an adapter for the stock one to go on the 240 one. which is another reason i havent put it on yet
and yes going with a dual over head is better air flow but at the same time everything for the head will cost double the price pretty much and you can clean up the single head and make it flow nice with a new cam and 3 or 5 angle valve job and some springs and retainers and it will flow like a water fall
if its something you looking into do its fun but costly

if you need any help or have any questions i can help you out as much as possible

So heres another intake question, do i just need the UPPER intake manifold or will i need the LOWER as well? Im guessing all hoses and cables and connectors will fit around it as well? :slap:

you need both pieces for the intake. not all of the connectors are the same depending on the year you get.

Is there a certain year that is plug and play? My truck is a 93 not sure if that matters, is there a difference in the 89-91 240s intakes?
