I'm checking my fuel injectors today. #8 was like 5 ohms and the rest were 24.5 ohms. Does this sound right? positive probe to the battery and negative to the pins. My car drives fine, I'm just checking because I have more time on my hands. Also I'm dropping my transmission pan again today to see if any of that gunk is back. Had it flushed yesterday.

No, most definitely bad values.

Are you measuring it correctly through the harness?

Ummm....define "flush."

I had the BG chemical flush. Yes, I probed the harness. I wonder if the engine temp has anything to do with it. I tested it with a warm engine.

O.K. I guess the engine temp will affect the results! Now, they all read 12.8. But #1 is at 1.3 At least #1 is easy to get to.

On another note, Are there any aftermarket fuel injectors for the G50? How many cc's are they?

370cc side feeds are rare as only used on Q and 300zxtt and a rare SVX.

Just buy a few dozen used and sort them out and you'll be ready for a few months [years?] of ethanolized gasoline.

Be sure to change filter regularly , clean the fuel tank frequently, use BG44K to wash the injectors and don't let the ethanol absorb any water.

Not use there will be any long term solution other than redesigning rails and fuel system [to returnless] and modern injectors or blending your own gasoline or removing the ethanol from what you purchase.

Without a mechanical fluid exchange immediately following, you just moved varnish around.

Fluid exchange is part of the flush procedure. The BG is added, transmission cycled through all the gears while on lift then the fluid is exchanged. It's not left in for any period. He's dropping the pan to check for any more chewing tobacco caught in filter media. (Gasoline flush)

I dropped the pan and there was more of the crap on the filter but not much. I added some good fluid this time. Will see how the transmission holds up. But looks like I'm going to have to replace that fuel injector soon. I might do all 8. Dont know if I want one new injector and 7 15 year old's on there.

Why I have all 17.3 year old injectors and they are are spot on resistancewise and pintle open time ~~0.66 msecs +- 0.03[measured by oscilloscope and amplified current probe].

I do however check them every month or two as part of my diagnosis.

As long as you use conventional non oxygenated gasoline you should be fine.

I love Hyundai for their HONESTY:"Will it affect my Warranty? The use of Ethanol at E10 will not affect warranty simply by its use. What are Hyundai's recommendations? However, failure caused by Ethanol such as corrosion of fuel injection due to Ethanol's' hygroscopic nature (attracts and holds moisture) will not be covered by warranty.

All Hyundai models manufactured after October 2003 are equipped with alcohol tolerant fuel system components. The use of Ethanol blended fuels in any Hyundai vehicles manufactured before October 2003 is not recommended. Hyundai Motor Company includes the following comments in the owner's handbook: "Gasohol (a mixture of 90% unleaded gasoline and 10% ethanol or grain alcohol) may be used in your Hyundai. However, if your engine develops drive ability problems, the use of 100% gasoline is recommended. Fuels with unspecified quantities of alcohol, or alcohols other than ethanol, should not be used. customers choose to run with up to E10, HMCA recommends that 1 in 5 tank fills is with 100% petrol.

They are saying they will not honor injector warranty if ETHANOLized fuel is used in any vehicle built prior to October 2003

Wish Nissan would come out with a similar honest statement!!!!!!!!! so owners would understand, move or sell their cars and buy the new ones with returnless fuel systems.................or just learn to live with the consequences.
