Fuel Injector MAYBE?

Me and my boyfrind recently posted about questions i hada bout my infiniti the check engine light will periodically come and begin to idol funny. Then all of a sudden it will run fine again and the check engine light will go back off. We tested the fuel injector resistance which is where the correct ohm range is from 10-14 ohms and all were fine except number 4 it read at 150 ohms. so we are thinking it is that any ideas?brittany and ryan

you should check the connection of the MAF (mass air flow sensor). mine did the same thing and i simply unplugged the connection, carefully cleaned up the brass pins, then used dialectic grease on the connectors and plugged it back up. all was fine

If one injector is way off, its bad or going bad. Replace! I've never had a CEL come on with a bad injector though.

I'm assuming you had all the lights off and key removed when you ohmed them?

Where is this thing located? My chk engine light comes on time to time and I'll try cleaning the connectors too.

MAF is mounted on the side of the airbox.

just be carefull when taking apart the MAF connection, the plastic can be brittle and the brass connectors need to be handled delicately. i used a small pin to *gently* scrap the brass just to make sure they clean then spread the dialectic grease on and made sure it was firmly connected back. was amazing what an improvement that little job did for the idle. good luck!
