I have a 2010 M35X with 64,500 Miles. Love the ride got it in May. Fully loaded. Very happy with purchase. Probably the most overlooked sports sedan which I love that about it. whenever I see someone else with one I think that person has good taste.

Anyway -
Ive noticed intermittently that when I start the car (cold starts) it will start and then almost die then catches itself and starts(this is not common, once every two weeks). I replaced the battery (at National Tire and Battery) as Infiniti service tech said it was failing their tests and the issue is still there. Throttle bodies were cleaned last week. Issue still there. Infiniti dealer "cautioned" and recommended fuel injection cleaning (this was before this issue started)

Could it be the fuel injectors? Im also getting worse gas mileage (premium). Yeah its colder now in Chicagoland but Im at like 15 mpg and lately at least 50-60 less miles per tank.. Used to get 300-330 per fill up now the computer reads 250-260 when full.

Also not sure if has anything to do with it but when at lower than 1/4 tank the gas gauge isnt always accurate. It settles in after like 5 minutes but shows less gas at fist

Also its $190 for the cleaning (im not good at DIY's) so is that fair or rip off?

Rambling i know but im driving to Canada next week for a ski trip and want the maximum performance out of the car

I have this on my 2011 when it's really cold. I don't think it has anything to do with the battery as mine is only a few months old, etc. and is a diehard or whatever from Sears. If I recall my 07 used to do it too. To me it's just normal behaviour.

Thats good to hear then. Its never stalled or anything so Ill just monitor.

Any clue if that $190 for a fuel injection cleaning is a rip off or fair?

I'd say it's on the very high side.

Many people think any cleaning is a waste of money but I personally think running a can of Seafoam or Chevron or Gumout through the gas tank every now and again won't do any harm. Or seafoam into the intake manifold (see FAQ thread). But that's just me.
