Are you serious? From what car and year did you use these Fuel Injectors off from? What do you mean the plugs have the same color dot on the injector plugjkilby18 wrote:THERE THE SAME INJECTORS I USED 2IN MY 90 N/A WHEN I HAD IT..AS LONG AS THE PLUGS MATCH UP A AND HAVE THE SAME COLOR DOT ON THE INJECTOR PLUG ULL BE GOOD
I checked my injectors, and one of them has a blue dot like you said, I also cheched the part number's for the Fuel Injector's of the Infiniti J30 from 1993,1994,1995,1996 1660010Y01 and the part number matches those year's. Did you have any problems with the two injectors you installed on your Z32? Did your car pass smog even if it had J30 injectors? And who told you that you could use J30 injectors in a Z32? Thank You so much for answering my question I just saved a lot of money on those injectors for the Z32. I've been asking people around and they would just tell to buy Aftermarket Injector's and I would disagre with them.jkilby18 wrote:i dont know what the year was but im a 100 percent it was a j30...u just need to match the plug that is on the injector its self and make shure they have the same color dot on the injector u pulled out of ur car and the injector from the donor car,, oh and i should have been more specific theres diffrent color dots on diffrent model and size injectors... i think the ones out of ur car will have a blue dot on them ..im not to sure but just make sure they match up
I did some research on the Infiniti J30 Injectors plugs, and not all of them have the Oval shaped plugs, from 1993 and 1994 those injectors have Square shaped plugs which can be used on the Z32, and from 1995,1996,1997 those injectors do have a Oval shaped plugs.lowe300zx wrote:To my knowledge most of the J30's have the "new-style" injectors. These injectors have a red oval shaped connector. If the injectors are "new-style" it will require that you use the fuel rail and lower intake plenum in order for the injectors to seat properly. The bad news is the 1990 has the "old-style" injectors which are prone to clogging. Do not use injector cleaner in the old style injectors as it will foul them. If you do decide to convert your car to the new style injectors you will have to remove the upper plenum which is a b****. You will have to replace all 6 injector connectors with the matching new style female ends. You will also have to replace the fuel rail and the lower plenum. The lower plenum has the stud for one of the idler pulleys on your timing belt on it, which means you'll need to be prepared to deal with the timing belt. Someone on here 300zxclub or tt.net might have a trick for changing the plenum without having to completely having to reinstall the timing belt.
Deatschworks offers reconditioning service where they will recondition the coils and replace all the o rings and filters including a warranty. Z1 sells used old style injectors for $48 a piece and if you send them your old injectors AND they ohm out within spec they will give you 10 dollars credit for each old style injector you send. I hope this helps shed some light on your search.
To answer the smog question the J30 injectors are identical to the Z injectors provided they are the same style either old or new style. They flow 270CC's per minute.
The Q45 injectors are the same size as the TT injectors (370CC). Having 2 injectors which do not match in flow would bring all types of interesting issues with it.
