Fuel Injector Harness 90 240sx

no one has replied on the nissan online mechanical forum, anyone here have any ideas?

Here is the deal. 1990 240sx. Car is running fine. Take it to dealership to have some preventative maintenece and 100 point check and whatever else bs before i give it to my sister. Take it to have stereo installed. Come back, car wont start. sounds like it isnt getting gas. Finally, and i mean finally, it starts and blows hellacious black smoke, smells awful and even back fires several times. Sounds Horrible. Nissan says that the fuel injector harness shorted out and that i will need 3 injectors and a new harness. total cost incl. labor: $1600.00

I read the faqs on Fuel Injectors, so i know i can get a rebuilt ones for much cheaper.

What about the harness? another place says that you can get any that really fit. does that make sense?

They have the injectores for $65 ($15 core you get back each making them $50) and they may be able to help you with the wiring too.

screw that.... you can buy all that stuff off the internet. I've got injectors, my KA-E ECU and the wiring harness MINUS the dash plug by the ECU... it's about 20 wires, IIRC. If you needed my harness, you would have to cut that plug off of your old harness and reconnect it to my harness. It would be easy. Just match up wires. There wouldn't be any wire crossing to do like in an SR20DET.

Well the injectors they are selling are Python's and come with a warranty--Better than new at $100+ a pop! No offense, but I'll take the warranty items!

sounds to me like that dealer might owe u something. i mean if it ran fine when u dropped it off then was all screwed up when you picked it up. Then what happened in between to make it go nuts all of asudden? Doesn't sound quite right ta me:S
