I have a 90 300zx TT. I had a bad injector at 45,000, at 98,000 and now at 107,000.It has been a different injector each time and I replaced all injectors the first two times.First two replacements have been with Nissan parts. Before I get them replaced this time I would to know if there is a different brand of injectors out there that other owners have had good luck with. Everything is stock on the engine so I'm kinda looking for a "as close to stock replacement" (reliable). Does anyone have a good suggestions? thanks.

Stop replacing them with phase 1 injectors. They are guaranteed to fail with the ethanol they put in basically all gas now. You don't need to go with another brand, you need to get Phase 2 Nissan/Nismo. You need to replace all 6 and get an adapter kit to do this (http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/des ... .164.64.90). Or...you can keep replacing them, and I can almost guarantee that if you've seen one fail in under 10k miles you're putting all ethanol gas in your car now, which means the others will fail in short order. I went from 1 bad phase 1 injector to 3 over a short period of time.

Also, if you want to be stubborn and go with another brand, do LOTS of reading. IMO it's really not worth it for the gamble you take with remanufactured and re-drilled stuff that's out there.

^This. If you want a cheap temporary fix get the adapter kit from Z1 or somewhere and then get a set of reman'd (sonic cleaned/flow tested) injectors off ebay for like $140 from tlfperformance

Out of curiosity, how did you know the injector was bad? The wiki page says you won't know it is bad due to the ethonol by ohming them.

Just pure gasonline won't cause an injector to go bad so fast. The ethanol, however, will actually deteriorate the internals and eventually causes an open circuit, thus the higher ohm readings. Eventually the injector will ohm out to infinity but at first its just slightly out of spec. Instead of being 10-14 ohms its like 20-40.

My mechanics did all the tests to indicate the bad injector

Take it to a Z mechanic that knows the differences between the 2 phase's of fuel injectors. If they don't know what you're talking about, don't use them and do it yourself. Doing all 6 with the need to shave the plenum at injector #1 to fit the new style injector means it would be best to pull the plenum instead of trying to use the "dremel method" IMO. It would be advisable to do the plenum water line deletes and EGR delete while you're in there to make things easier for everyone in the future.
