My 240 is shutting down after driving for an unspecified time. It acts like it is out of gas and just shuts off. After letting it set for 10 or 15 minutes it usually starts right up and drives on. It is so sporadic it's driving me nuts. I put it in the shop at the Nissan dealer and they said it was the fuel injection wire harness. I read on another forum that it was probably the pigtails and I went ahead and changed them. Still the same problem. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I had the same problem. It was the wiring going to my coolant temp sensor (and possibly the sensor itself). It may be DUMPING fuel as opposed to starving it (and that's what is killing it). I could pull my fuel pump fuse after it happened and crank for a while until it eventually started. If you can do the same, that's probably what it is.

With the car running, shake the wiring harness where it comes out near the front of the intake manifold (and also try at the MAF). If it idles up/down/stumbles, you're due for a new harness.
