So after about a month of sorting my 90 NA 300zx final started but only on starter fluid. I'm finding that when I disconnect my egi relay and coil relay I get 12 volts in the relay box, but as soon as I plug one of them in the other drops to 4 volts or so. So I hot wired the relayed side and had spark for the first time in the coils. Sprayed some fluid and it started. I spun the cas and can hear them slightly ticking and I have fuel pressure and I have good resiitance on each injector about 12.2 ...How can I now figure out why the fuel is not being injected?

Backing up a bit to a month ago, did your car just die one day or what started the event of it not running? If you can hear the injectors click, and you have checked with a gauge that you have fuel pressure, the injection process should be happening. When you crank he engine over and it doesn't start, can you smell raw fuel at the tail pipe? That should tell you if there is fuel being injected, and then it's likely a spark issue. It sounds to me like you might have an electrical issue in the harness or a bad relay.I would caution against using starting fluid as it dries out the cylinder walls very rapidly and can damage your engine.

are you sure you have fuel pressure? might just be priming and shutting off, older Z's did this with a bad AFM, could be a MAS issue
