Going out to my baby for my normal Sunday drive, I started it up as usual and opened the hood to check it all out. (im anal:))

I smelled fuel and checked closer. It appears to be a rubber line about 4 inches long. Dripping fuel out of it at a good rate on initial cold start idle.

After about 5 mins of running the drips ceased, at least to the naked eye. It appears to leak from the front part more andthe bottom just a little.

Ive just ordered a under plenum hose kit, but seeing as it wont be a few days before its here, I wanted to know if this was something i could "quick fix" for a few days? Any suggestions?

Video is quiktime

Usually a cold engine won't catch on fire and the warm up and fan air flow evaporates the fuel as it warms up. If it as you say stops dripping after a few minutes.

Just replace ALL the hoses very soon!

Ok, thanks for the reassurance. Not smoking in car until fixed!

Did mine about one month ago -- there is a post on it. When you cut the return line to replace the hose (PIA to get to) gas will pour out even after you relieve the gas supply side pressure. Thus, you may want to use a hose clamp on the return line where it crosses back over the side of the engine. That will limit the amount of fuel discharged back into the work area. I didnot know this at the time inititally cut mine and was uneasy when over a pint of fuel conintued to spew out -- high octane is very flamable stuff! Once I clamped the hose, I mopped up the rest and let the valley dry our before continuing. Also, I double clamped the new hoses in hopes of not having to do this again any time soon.
