So my fuel gauge stopped reading correctly and would always tell me i have more gas then i do. So i took it in and They said change the fuel sending unit. So i replaced that and still it was incorrect. I took it back and now they are saying it has to be the cluster. This only started happening after i changed the cluster leds. So they belive in the process the fuel gauge was messed with. Now i have to find a cluster which I have no idea where to find and also I was wodering if the milage was saved in the brain of the car or in the cluster itself and if it is in the cluster can they reprogram it to make it correct? Im so frustrated with all the little things with this car latley and i need help. Thanks you guys.

The vehicle mileage is stored in the instrument cluster. I'd imagine the dealer can reprogram the mileage using CONSULT-II.

See page EL-133 and EL-134 of the FSM for fuel gauge diagnosis instructions.
