Fuel Gauge problem w/ J30

Long time, first time.

Has anyone experienced a problem with their fuel gaugesuddenly dropping down to E(mpty) when tank is at about 1/4while driving. If it wasn't for my low fuel warning light I wouldrun out of gas.

It only corrects itself when parked for a while.

93 J30 w/ 157k kms.

You should probably refill at ¼ tank anyway to save the fuel pump from stress. Maybe your sender has some corrosion when it is in the region of the last ¼ tank?

Mine has done some funky things like that, but only in the summer time. Then again its so rare when it does happen that it's only pure coincidence. But yes, mine has 'bottomed out' before like that.

Hello all. Just started having faulty fuel gauge issues with a '93 J30t w/147k mls. Aside from changing cluster, is there a remedy for this? Thanks
