Whats up guys. So my thermostat on my ka was sticking and causing the car to overheat a little bit in trafic. Just got done swaping it out for a new one and noticed my fuel gauge was bottomed out during the test drive after. The car is a 89 with a 93 dohc swap yada yada yada. Last i checked the t-stat dosnt have anything to do with the fuel gauge but i could be wrong?

Is this just a case of a bad float or could a relay or somthing in the engin bay gotten wet and killed a it? Its raining right now so i cant really go test anything at this time but id like to get some ideas of what to look for.

they are two separate circuits. More than likely, it's just coincidence.

Run the standard tests from the service manual, and if all else fails, pull the sending unit and check it.
